EMPOWERED Birth - 1 Day Hands-on Birth Preparation Facilitated by Kimberly Motill - Birth Doula, Educator and Perinatal Wellness Coach For couples who want to feel confident, informed, and prepared for a positive, empowered birth. Empowered Birth goes beyond standard hospital classes, giving you the tools to understand your options, manage labor effectively, and advocate for the birth you want. Whether you’re planning an unmedicated birth, choosing an epidural, or keeping your options open, this class will support you. Part 1: Labor, Birth & the Golden Hour | 1:00–3:00 PM Learn what’s happening in your body and with your baby so you can approach labor with clarity and confidence: ~Recognize the signs of labor and know when to go to your birthplace ~Understand the three stages of labor and what to expect ~Navigate common hospital decisions and interventions ~Tools to help you stay calm, informed, and grounded ~How to support and protect the golden hour after birth Snack + Social Break | 3:00–3:20 PM Light snacks and time to connect Part 2: Hands-On Labor, Pushing & Birth | 3:20–5:00 PM Put everything into practice with your partner: ~Positions, movement, and tools to support labor progress ~Comfort techniques for home and hospital, including touch and counterpressure ~How partners can offer steady, confident support ~Ways to stay connected and grounded throughout labor Leave feeling prepared—not just informed—ready to move through birth as a team with clarity and confidence.
